Deprom facade system shortlisted for national innovation award

Deprom’s Load-Bearing Precast Brick Sandwich Facade has been shortlisted in the Most Innovative Product category at the Façades Awards UK 2026, recognising its innovative approach to offsite facade design and delivery.

The shortlisting highlights a system that brings together structural performance, architectural finish and building envelope into a single factory-produced solution. Combining load-bearing precast concrete, brick slips, A1-rated insulation, cast-in connections and factory-installed windows, the facade is designed to simplify construction while improving programme certainty on complex projects.

The nominated system was developed for the Peterborough Road commercial redevelopment in Parsons Green, London, where a constrained urban site presented a series of construction challenges. Tight access, neighbouring occupied buildings, multiple party wall interfaces and restricted working space meant that traditional facade construction methods would have added significant complexity.

Through early engineering, detailed design coordination, measured 3D surveys, advanced modelling and offsite manufacturing, Deprom delivered a facade solution that was tailored to the realities of the project. By replacing a traditional multi-trade facade package with a coordinated offsite assembly, the system helped reduce site labour, minimise scaffold dependency, lower the number of deliveries and enable the building to become weathertight sooner.

The project also demonstrates how load-bearing precast facade technology can be successfully applied to low- and mid-rise developments. While precast solutions are often associated with large, repetitive high-rise buildings, this project shows how the same principles can help overcome buildability challenges on more complex urban schemes.

For contractors, developers and architects, the system offers a practical way to reduce programme risk, improve site safety and streamline project delivery without compromising on design quality.

Being shortlisted by the Façades Awards UK provides independent recognition of Deprom’s commitment to innovation and reinforces the company’s position as a specialist partner for engineered offsite facade solutions.

Artūrs Kanajevs, Founder & CEO, commented, “Innovation is about making projects easier to deliver. This system was developed to help contractors and developers reduce risk, improve programme certainty and overcome the practical challenges that often come with constrained urban sites.

To see that recognised by the Façades Awards UK is something we’re incredibly proud of, and it’s a testament to the expertise of everyone involved in bringing the project to life.”

The winners will be announced later this year, and everyone at Deprom is proud to see the project recognised alongside some of the UK’s leading facade innovations. We look forward to the Façades Awards UK 2026 ceremony and wish all shortlisted entrants the very best of luck.
